About CYDA Robotics
CYDA Robotics is the competitive robotics arm of the Coleman Youth Development Academy, a non-profit dedicated to providing exceptional STEM opportunities for students of all ages.
A Legacy of Excellence
Our competition teams, known as **5 Star Robotics**, have a proven track record of success, winning the Middle School State Championship two years in a row in both VEX IQ and VRC. We provide a platform for students to develop critical thinking, teamwork, and technical skills that prepare them for the future.
Our Vision
We serve as an umbrella for all robotics-related programs, including VEX V5 & IQ, SeaPerch, Drones, and FRC. Our goal is to train not only our students but also to build capacity by developing coaches and mentors throughout the community.

VEX IQ
VEX IQ provides a fun and accessible entry into robotics, using snap-together parts for younger students to explore STEM concepts and teamwork.
SeaPerch
Dive into marine engineering with SeaPerch, where students build underwater Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs) to navigate challenges.
Drones
Take to the skies with our drone program, focusing on piloting skills, autonomous flight programming, and aerial obstacle courses.
